This week, we’re starting a new series featuring some top innovators. As you know, we at FGS are all about doing things different, and we love to look to other innovators for inspiration. Without further ado, this week’s innovator is Warby Parker.

What it is: A company that took the eyeglass-shopping experience online while retaining the perks of a personal visit—namely, being able to try on the frames to gauge their appearance and fit.

Why we like it: This company recognized the need of the customer to try on frames and provided an alternative to in-person shopping. Understanding what the customer needs and catering to that is what makes this company the innovator of the week.
